NEW TIME Yin Yoga Drop-In: In Studio with Sarah Roberts
August 16, 2022 – 7:30 pm – 8:45 pm

In-studio. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the class.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that incorporates principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas that are held for longer periods of time than typical yang postures (1 to 5 minutes depending on the difficulty of the posture).
The goal of Yin yoga is to center oneself and learn self-compassion by listening to your own body while deepening the flexibility of the connective tissues. In this practice, you will gain the ability to tend to all facets of yourself (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual) to improve your overall wellbeing.
The yin practice provides an opportunity to observe, nurture, soothe, and calm yourself.
Practicing Yin on a regular basis may:
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Help to promote mindfulness and self-awareness
- Improve joint mobility
- Improve flexibility
- Elongate and stretch tight muscles
- Promote feelings of deep calm
