Fall Equinox Connect With and Through Dance Workshop: In Studio and Online with Celeste Harrison

Humans have been dancing together since we figured out bipedal locomotion. Dancing fosters community, bonding, and surviving challenges. More importantly, dancing is fun. Dancing increases dopamine levels, which improves our feelings of pleasure, and ability to cope with stress, depression and anxiety. Dancing with others builds community, trust, and quite simply, is fun.
Get a dopamine hit with our introduction to burlesque class. We will warm up with exercises designed to build the mind-body connections with body parts often forgotten in daily life. We will learn simple choreography that will create awareness of your body in space, introduction to technique, and creating something new in a welcoming environment with new friends.
No experience is necessary, but experienced dancers are welcome. You will learn about your body, vulnerability, and maybe a few moves you can use outside of the studio. I hope you leave this class with a smile on your face, an invigorated body, and the motivation to express yourself in more areas of your life.
